The Croffle is a hybrid of a croissant and a waffle. Very popular in South Korea, it quickly spread throughout the world. It consists of baking raw croissants in a waffle iron! It's absolutely delicious, and served with a white chocolate sauce made with Ubeya, it's simply divine.
It might just become your favorite breakfast!
Ingredients
2 to 3 raw croissants
100g of white chocolate
3 g of UBEYA powder
A little neutral oil
1 waffle iron
Preparation
Let the croissants rise for about an hour to make them puff up.
Lightly oil the waffle iron plates and cook each croissant separately for a few minutes.
Meanwhile, melt the white chocolate in a double boiler. Once it is partially melted, remove from the heat and let it melt gently.
Sift the UBEYA over the melted chocolate and mix with a whisk to incorporate it well.
Serve the croffles on a plate, add the UBEYA chocolate and enjoy immediately.
Recipe note
You can also use ready-to-roll puff pastry, cut it into triangles and then form the croissants.
